Sometimes doing things the old fashioned way is the best method for getting a particular job done. Don’t get me wrong, technological advances have and will continue to benefit the world, but there are times when using older processes are best. A lot of technology requires an energy source (electricity, battery, etc.) which can limit your capabilities if said energy source isn’t available (power outage) or fails to work when you need it (defect, or dead battery). For example, typing something up is obviously the most effective way to get any type of assignment completed, but it’s always good to have a pen and some paper on hand, just in case.
Another good example of using an older method for effective results in today’s modern world is related to food choices that affect dental health. The ancient Pompeiians that became victims of the horrific volcanic eruption were said to have wonderful teeth. Researchers attribute this fact to their diet, which was rich in fruits and vegetables.
The moral of the story is that your parents, teachers and dentist were all right; having a healthy balanced diet that includes a balance of fruits and vegetables is the best way to help promote a healthier lifestyle and can also help your teeth. Another old fashioned technique that will never go out of style is consistent and proper brushing, flossing and rinsing. It is the most effective way to ensure that your teeth become healthy and stay that way.
